Biju Sebastian, Kunnamkott, Manakad PO Thodupuzha, Kerala, is the creator of the minemapper.blogspot.com. He is essentially a geologist who has retired from his position as Deputy Director of Mining and Geology, Government of Kerala. He was a hydrogeologist with the Central Ground Water Board before to joining the Department of Mining and Geology. He has served as a consultant for the Netherlands-assisted Kerala Community Irrigation Project in the capacity of Geographic Information System Expert and for the Netherlands-assisted VISHWAS Project in the capacity of MIS and Hydrogeology Consultant. He has expertise in geology, hydrogeology, GIS, MIS, e-Governance, and mineral administration. This website aims to enlighten the general public, miners and other stakeholders about mining, environmental aspects of mining, mining rules and regulations, mining technology, mining news, mining related judgements etc.
